Our Mission

At Battery Health Checker, our mission is simple: to provide users with transparent, accurate, and easy-to-understand insights into their battery health. We believe that everyone should be able to maximize their device's lifespan without needing technical expertise.

Who We Are

Battery Health Checker is created and maintained by Lotfi Boukhemerra (known online as <e/dev>), an independent software developer. The project started as a small utility for reading the battery data Windows already stores, and grew into a free tool for Windows and Android, with contributions and bug reports from its users on GitHub.

How We Write Our Guides

The articles on our blog and in the documentation are written to answer questions our users actually ask: what a number means, whether a result is normal, and what to do next. We follow a few rules:

  • Checked against primary sources: Windows steps are written for current versions of Windows 11, and technical claims are checked against Microsoft and laptop-maker documentation.
  • No miracle claims: Software can report battery wear; it cannot reverse it. We say so plainly.
  • Safety first: Any sign of a swollen, hot, or damaged battery is treated as a reason to stop and seek qualified service.
  • Kept up to date: Each article shows when it was last reviewed. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will correct it.
